Spigelia marilandica. I found this one at the U of W Herb Garden. It looks tropical and seemed to be doing well. I believe it is a woodland plant.

Perennials that deserve more attention

I take quite a few plant pics and sometimes I come across perennials that catch my attention. They may not be the easiest to find but are well worth seeking out.
