I'll soon have lots of seed available of a very nice, prolific and delicious little Japanese winter squash, "Futsu." (C. moschata) The fruits are deeply warted and almost black with a dusty bloom; over time they go pale orange. The taste is often described as being like hazelnut. I wouldn't go that far but it is a bit nutty. Really good stuffed with apples and baked. There were no other moschatas grown so the seed is pure.
I'll also have seed available of a locally popular squash known here as Adapazarı (the name of a town) or Kestane (chestnut). It's a very large C. maxima with gray-blue pumpkin-like fruits that can get to 40 pounds or so. They are delicious, with deep orange smooth flesh.
Anyone who would like some seed can send me a mailing address and I'll pop some into the mail when it's ready.
I also have seed of a deep red Amaranth, "Hopi Red Dye," that I've been growing for years and love. This year I also tried Golden Giant and it's great too, both decorative and good for grain. Be prepared to provide lots of water for it though! Plenty of seed available of either one.
